On Saturday 2nd June Robin Carter, male captain of RR Harriers, completed the Bob Graham Round in the Lake District, a notoriously tough circuit of 66 miles visiting 42 peaks with over 27,000 feet of ascent.
Robin had set himself a target of 20 hours to complete the challenge, well within the 24 hours allowed. Robin started his attempt at 2am from Keswick Moot Hall, the official start / finish point of the challenge. Despite the challenging conditions with heavy mist on most of the route making navigation difficult and wet rocks making fast descents treacherous, he completed the circuit in 19 hours 6 minutes, over 2 hours quicker than any previous RR Harrier has completed the round.
