Rolls-Royce Harriers Piggs 10K Race

This annual race over a 10K distance, which is always a popular event both for members of RR Harriers and for runners from other local clubs, has moved venue from its original route around the outskirts of Mickleover to Darley Park. Car parking and registration for the race is now at Derby Rugby Club, Haslam's Lane, Derby DE22 1EB. 

Note there is no access by car from the Darley Abbey (west) side of the river as the old road bridge is closed (pedestrian access is ok). To drive to the Rugby club access is via Haslam's Lane off Alfreton road on the (east) Chester Green side of the river.  

Both RR Harriers and other runners are welcome to take part in this event. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, L1, L2, L3; MV1, MV2, LV1, LV2. The Piggs Trophy is awarded to the first R-R Harrier man, the Page Trophy to the first R-R Harrier lady. Prize giving will be held in the Derby Rugby club after the event.

​The entry fee is £12 (£10 for affiliated club runners). Members of Rolls-Royce Harriers have free entry.

​The new race route is a scenic course comprising loops within Darley Park and Darley Fields on good surfaced tracks. A Strava recorded track of the course is shown below.
