175 runners contested this years race held on Wednesday evening 1st August with a great turn out from local running clubs proving what a popular race this is. The winner was Kenny Malton (Shelton Striders) in 35:12. The first lady was Rachel McGuinness (Derwent) in 41:28. Tom Mobray picked up the Piggs Trophy as first RR Harrier and the Ted Page trophy for first lady RR Harrier was awarded to Marie Morgan.
Shelton Striders took the team honours by placing 5 runners in the top 7 places, a great team achievement.

This years Piggs 10k is due to take place on Wednesday 1st August, 19:00. Registration will be at the corner of the football pitch (also the race car park), at Mickleover sports club (see map), and opens at 17:30.
Prices are £5 for UKA affiliated runners, £7 for non-affiliates
